Websites for restaurants and cafes in Ireland.
You are on the floor during service, not at a desk. A restaurant website has to work without you: answer the questions people ask before they come, and send them to the booking or the door. We do restaurant website design in Dublin and across Ireland, at a fixed price.
Get a quote01 What a diner checks
Before anyone walks in, they check. Are you open tonight. What is on the menu. Where are you, and is there parking nearby. Can they book, or do they just turn up. Roughly what will it cost. What does the food look like.
Most of that happens on a phone, often on the street or in the car. A cafe website or a restaurant website in Dublin is judged in seconds. If the hours are buried or the menu will not open, they go to the next place on the list.
Hours, menu, location, booking. Answered in seconds, on a phone.
02 Menus that work
Your menu should be a real web page, not a PDF. A PDF is slow to load on a phone, needs pinching and zooming, and Google does a poor job of reading it. A menu written as a page loads quickly and can show up when someone searches for the dish you are known for.
It also has to be easy to change. Prices move, specials change daily, the menu turns over with the seasons. We set it up so you or your staff can change a dish or a price in a few minutes, without touching the design.
Dietary and allergen information goes on the page clearly, dish by dish, so nobody has to ring to ask. One thing to be plain about: you are responsible for the accuracy of your allergen information. We publish exactly what you give us, and you check it every time the menu changes.
03 Bookings and orders
You probably already have a way to take bookings, or orders for collection. We do not build a new one. We link to or embed the system you already use, so bookings land where they always do and your staff learn nothing new.
A Book a table button sits at the top of every page, and your phone number is tappable for anyone who would rather ring. You do not need a commission platform to take a booking from your own site.
04 Being found locally
When someone searches for a cafe near me or a restaurant in Ranelagh, Google shows a map with a few places on it. Those results come mostly from your Google Business Profile, and it costs nothing to run.
Keep the hours current, including bank holidays, Christmas and any week you close. Add photos of the food and the room, and reply to reviews, good or bad, briefly and politely.
The website backs the profile up, with the same name, address and phone number everywhere. Our local SEO service covers all of it.
05 Keeping it current
A hospitality website in Ireland goes out of date quickly. The summer menu, the Christmas hours, the new brunch. When you are busy, the website comes last.
That is what Care is for, at €190 a month after the first year. It covers hosting, security and two hours of changes a month. Send us the new menu or the holiday hours by email or text and they go up.
06 What it costs
Launch is €5,400 fixed, for up to six pages, with hosting for the first year, SSL and daily backups. That suits a single cafe or restaurant. Grow is €10,800 for up to fifteen pages, including SEO research and page build with 90 days of rank tracking, for a group with more than one location or a private dining and events side. You get a fixed written quote within two working days.
The Trading Online Voucher from your Local Enterprise Office can cover up to half the cost, capped at €2,500, if your business qualifies. The LEO sets the eligibility, not us. Read our guide to the Trading Online Voucher, see the pricing page, or read how we build small business websites.
The approach is the same one you can see in our work: clear answers to the questions customers ask, local search done properly, and a site that is quick on a phone.
Common questions.
Should our menu be a PDF?
No. A PDF is slow to open on a phone, hard to read without zooming, and Google does a poor job of reading it. Put the menu on a normal web page instead. Keep a PDF for printing if you like, but link to it from the menu page, not in place of it.
Can we update the menu ourselves?
Yes. We set the menu up so a dish, a price or a special can be changed in a few minutes without touching the design. If you would rather not, send the changes to us and we make them, which is covered by Care.
Can people book a table from our website?
Yes. We link to or embed the booking system you already use, so bookings land in the same place as they do now. If you take bookings by phone only, we make the number tappable on every page. You do not need a commission platform to take a booking from your own site.
Do we need a website if we are on Instagram?
Instagram is good for showing the food. It is poor at answering the practical questions: the full menu, the hours this week, where to park, how to book. Not everyone has an account, and posts rarely show up in Google the way a website does. Keep Instagram and link it to a site that answers those questions.
