02 What a redesign has to protect
The risk in a redesign is not the design. It is throwing away search visibility the old site spent years building, usually on launch day. So before anything is drawn we inventory every URL, every page that earns traffic, the titles already doing work, and the pages other sites link to. Four rules follow.
Keep the URLs. If a page is staying, its address stays.
Map a 301 redirect for every address that must change, one old URL to one new URL, written down and checked after launch.
Keep titles and descriptions deliberately. If a page ranks, its title is part of the reason.
Keep the content that earns traffic. A long page bringing in enquiries gets redesigned around its words, not cut to suit a layout.
Then measure. Search Console positions recorded before launch and checked at two weeks and ninety days.
A redesign protects the traffic you already have. That is the job.
03 How a redesign runs
It starts with an audit: speed, mobile, structure, what ranks and what never did, and how the site is hosted. A few days, and you get the findings either way.
Then a brief. What the new site has to do, who it is for, what stays and what goes. From that, a fixed price in writing within two working days, and fixed scope with it.

04 Migration without downtime
The new site is built and tested on staging with the redirect map already loaded. Cutover happens at a quiet hour. DNS changes are scoped so MX records are untouched and email keeps flowing. SSL is configured on the new server before cutover, and every page is checked against the inventory afterwards.
The Northbrook Clinic in Ranelagh, Dublin 6, is a referral-based specialist clinic founded in 1993 with eight specialists across dental and medical disciplines. 05 A full redesign, in practice
The Avoca Wicklow Day Tour is a private chauffeured journey through County Wicklow, run by Dowling Chauffeur Drive. The original website was cluttered, visually inconsistent and built on a generic template, with competing logos, stock-style icons, clashing background colours and the €750 price buried.
The redesign gave it one identity in deep navy, warm gold and linen, a full-viewport hero of the minivan against the Wicklow hills, and the price anchored in plain sight. 06 What a redesign costs
A redesign is priced like a new build: the same work with more homework at the start. Launch is €5,400 for up to six pages, with hosting for the first year, SSL and daily backups. Grow is €10,800 for up to fifteen pages, with SEO research, page build and 90 days of rank tracking. Most redesigns land on Grow. Anything larger is a scoped quote: one written number before anything gets built. After year one, Care is €190 a month.

Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?
It can, and it is worth saying plainly. Most drops come from URLs changing with no redirect, titles rewritten for no reason, or the pages that earned the traffic being cut. That is exactly what this process prevents: an inventory first, a 301 for every address that changes, titles kept unless there is a reason, and positions measured before and after.
How long does a website redesign take?
